Algeria : Belda، [2003]
1 sound disc (15 min.) : digital ; 4 3/4 in.

This CD is a collective work and was carried out by association "20 years barakat" so that the song beats the tempo of the countryside "the code of the family: 20 years barakat " (Barakat = that is enough) (see call of the countryside further). Because, in Algeria like everywhere in the world, the song is also a business of women: lullabies with the songs of marriage, songs which say the hardness of the life to those which celebrate happinesses of the love, of the erudite sprees at the more current rates/rhythms, the song is a privileged means of expression.

The song "ouech DEK yal qadi" built on a basic melody chaabi (of Algiers music popular) offers escapes towards other musical kinds, according to the inspiration of the singers: polyphony kabyle, tonality rap, song chaoui, African tempo, voice of the raï and voice of the desert. All these rates/rhythms are there and gear down the force of the song. You will hear Algeria which saw and revolts, which says its fight on all the tone, in Arabic, into Berber or French. This song entraÎnante definitely gives desire for fighting together!
